what we believe

We believe in God the Father, maker of the heavens and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son, born to us a virgin birth. We believe the Bible is the relevant Word of God, both the Old and New Testaments.

We believe it was inspired by the Holy Spirit and given to men and women of God. It is the supreme authority of all matters of faith and establishes the way we are to live our lives. 2 Timothy 3: 16 –  17.

We believe in One God who manifests Himself in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Acts 1:5, Deuteronomy 6: 4-5, 1 John 5: 20

We believe that Jesus Christ became a man, was born of a virgin, lived a life without sin, became sin upon a cross, died that we might be forgiven, rose three days later and ascended to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. John 1: 1-2, John 3:16, John 19:30, John 20: 1-9, Acts 17:31.

We believe that all people are sinners and are in need of a Saviour – Jesus Christ our Lord. Isaiah 53:6, Galations 2:20, Romans 5:8.

We believe in the water baptism by emersion as representing our spiritual death, burial and resurrection.     Matthew 3: 13 – 17, 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We believe in the partaking of the Lord’s supper, the breaking of bread and the drinking of wine representing His body and His blood. 1 Corinthians 11: 23-26.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, which is available to all believers and is the divine power of God on earth and the imparter of the heavenly gifts of God. Isaiah 11:2,

Corinthians 12:1 – 11, Galations 5:24, Romans 5:5.

We believe that it is the responsibility for every Christian to spread the Gospel to all persons by the preaching of the Word, praying for the lost and living our lives according to the Bible and sacrificial giving of all believers for the use of extending His kingdom and showing the love of the Father at all times. Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 3: 9 – 10, 1 Corinthians 9: 7-23, Ephesians 4:11-13.

We believe in the divine healing of the body, mind and spirit as part of the great gift of salvation based upon the work of Christ made available through the Holy Spirit whether by the laying on of hands, the anointing of oil, faith alone, prayer and by an act of grace by the living God of Jesus Christ. Matthew 10:8, Mark 16:17-18, 1 Corinthians 2:9-10, 1 Corinthians 2:24, James 5:13-16.

We believe in the laying on of hands to allow the work of the Holy Spirit to be administered for:
     • The healing of the sick
     • The baptism of the Holy Spirit
     • The receiving of spiritual gifts
     • The ordination of ministries
     • The sending out of ministries
     • The dedication of children Acts 6:5-6, Acts 9:17, Acts 8:17, Act 13:3, 1 Timothy 4:13, 2 Timothy 1:6, Numbers 8:10

We believe in the visible, tangible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to this earth to firstly claim His Bride, the Church, and then to judge the world.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelations 1:7, Acts 1:11, Titus 2:12-14, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10

We believe that every Christian is called to live a life free from sinful practices and to promote living their lives in right standing before God and according to His laws, commandments and decrees. Deuteronomy 5:6-21, Deuteronomy 11:1, Romans 12:1-2, 1 John 2:15-17, 2 Corinthians 6:13-18, Romans 13:1-10, James 4:4,  Timothy 2:14-26.
